Holding Redlich has advised Flinders Port Holdings on the acquisition of the largest privately owned stevedoring business in North Queensland.

Flinders Port Holdings has acquired Townsville Bulk Storage & Handling. Financial details of the multi-million dollar deal were not disclosed.

Flinders owns Flinders Ports, Flinders Logistics, and Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal, South Australia’s only container operator. With the acquisition, Flinders has significantly expanded and increased its network to Queensland.

Scott Alden, Holding Redlich relationship partner based in Sydney, led the firm’s team, which handled due diligence, corporate, employment, and property aspects of the deal. He was added by corporate and commercial partner Harry Kingsley in Melbourne, transport partner Nathan Cecil in Sydney, and employment partner Stephen Trew in Sydney.

Alden said the team worked closely with Flinders’ internal team comprised of Adam Cooper on legal matters, Mark Travers on financial matters, and Andrew Pellizzari on operational matters for the complex deal.
