Ian Denham is set to take over as Moray & Agnew’s new national managing partner and NSW managing partner.

Denham assumes the leadership roles on 1 July, replacing Geoff Connellan. He is part of the firm’s national executive.

Denham made partner at Moray & Agnew in 2003. He has practised in insurance law for nearly 30 years, focusing on professional indemnity and extending to a wide range of related areas including general liability, property and public liability.

“I am excited to lead our firm into the future, and capitalise on the many opportunities it affords us and our clients. I am in awe of all that Geoff has achieved in his time at the firm and especially over the last seven years as its managing partner”, Denham said. “I am grateful to Geoff and the partners for the support they have given me through this transition, and the trust they have placed in me for this leadership role to deliver on our strategic intent”.

Connellan, who began serving as national managing partner and NSW managing partner back in 2018, will retire from the partnership in December.

“I am proud of all that we have achieved in the last seven years as we have continued to expand on the services we provide to our clients, and the jurisdictions that we provide them from. We have wonderful people who enjoy a supportive inclusive culture across our office network and a tremendous client base that we are privileged to advise”, he said.
