The senior tech and advisory partner will head up the firm’s tech, AI and transformation groups
Senior tech and advisory partner Iain McGuire has been named Wotton Kearney’s first-ever chief technology and AI officer.
In the new role, McGuire will head up the firm’s tech, AI and transformation teams under a combined strategy. He will also assist clients with emerging risks in his capacity as partner.
“We’re fully committed to investing in digital transformation, optimising our IT systems, and fostering innovation to enhance our operational efficiency and improve client service delivery. Iain’s appointment also strengthens our ability to bring together legal, advisory and technology capability – delivering more integrated, end-to-end solutions for our clients”, said Wotton Kearney CEP David Kearney. “This is a natural next step following the launch of WK Advisory and reinforces our commitment to investing in platforms to support both our people and clients in an increasingly complex digital environment”.
Before commencing with Wotton Kearney, McGuire was the managing partner and vice president across Asia Pacific at global technology services firm Cognizant. He also logged stints at Deloitte and PwC, where he headed up global and regional capabilities involving strategy, risk and transformation.
He has guided enterprise and government clients on matters related to large-scale technology transformation, AI, cyber security and governance risk. He was on the judging panel for the AFR’s AI Innovation Awards and contributed to policy and research involving the effect of emerging technology, workforce transformation and AI directions in APAC and internationally.
“I’m genuinely excited to play a key role in championing cutting-edge solutions to drive our digital transformation, and shaping the future of Wotton Kearney’s new Advisory practice. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help redefine how we support our people and clients in today’s rapidly evolving technology landscape”, McGuire said.
In May 2024, Wotton Kearney incorporated generative AI tool Cicero into its operations. In February of this year, Matt O’Keefe was announced as head of WK Advisory's the cyber, data and technology arm.
