Duncan Cotterill has absorbed Blenheim-based firm Radich Law, boosting the firm’s presence in the upper South Island/Te Tau Ihu.

The move, announced early in the month, brings Radich Law’s Marlborough practice under the Duncan Cotterill banner. Duncan Cotterill board chair Brian Nathan said the acquisition preserves the legacy Radich Law has built in the region.

“Being locally invested means becoming part of the fabric of our communities and the people who shape them. Radich Law has built an enviable and trusted practice in Marlborough, and we are honoured to continue that legacy”, Nathan said. “Clients in Blenheim will enjoy continuity in their relationships with Peter and Miriam Radich and their team, now supported by the depth and breadth of Duncan Cotterill’s national capabilities”.

Partner Miriam Radich and consultant Peter Radich, who founded the practice, said the transition marks a new phase for the firm.

“It’s a partnership that preserves our local identity while opening new opportunities for our clients and our region,” they said.

The firm noted the Blenheim addition reflects its strategy of maintaining regionally embedded offices capable of drawing on national specialist resources.
