This specialist law firm has been recognised across a range of categories by Doyle’s Guide

An independent client and peer-researched guide to Australia’s best lawyers, law firms, and barristers has recognised a specialist law firm for its commitment to delivering client excellence and the quality of its lawyers.

Doyle’s Guide has ranked Barry.Nilsson’s expanding national insurance practice in Queensland as First Tier for professional indemnity and public liability, also awarding several of its lawyers across a range of categories.

Among those awarded were Rhett Kennedy and Peter Murdoch, who were rated as Preeminent in professional indemnity and public liability and Preeminent in public liability respectively.

Also in Queensland, Richard Leahy, Melanie Quixley, and Robert Samut were listed as Recommended lawyers in professional indemnity; with Quixley also earned a Recommended award for public liability with Fiona Sennett. Mark Wiemers got the same ranking in workers’ compensation.

In NSW, Henry Silvester and Peter Harvey gained Recommended ratings for CTP. Nicholas Andrew, Simon Black, and Wendy Blacker, meanwhile, were listed as Recommended lawyers for professional indemnity.

In Victoria, Peter Ewin has been ranked as a Leading lawyer for public liability and a Recommended lawyer for medical negligence (defendant). Nieva Connell was rated as Recommended for both public liability and medical negligence (defendant); and Hubert Wajszel received a Recommended award for professional indemnity and public liability.

In SA, Andrew Hilditch has been listed as a Leading lawyer for public liability and a Recommended lawyer for professional indemnity; Bronwyn Ackland gained a Recommended ranking for public liability; and Michael Fotheringham received a Recommended rating for professional indemnity.

Don Leembruggen, the firm’s managing partner, was delighted with the awards, saying: “Client and peer-recommended ratings are the most honest reflections on the quality of our work, and it is very pleasing to have again received such numerous awards across our national insurance practice.”

“Having expanded our presence nationally across the past year, it is also a great endorsement of the success of our recruitment in that lawyers across our national practice have received such recognition.”

“This suggests that our values of dedication, excellence, loyalty, and trustworthiness are being maintained even while we significantly expand our team nationwide,” Leembruggen said.
