He tackles domestic and cross-border finance transactions
Sydney banking and finance lawyer Harsharan Gill has joined a group of 26 lawyers across the globe who were elevated to partner in K&L Gates’ recent promotions round.
Gill has practised for over 25 years both privately and in-house. His clients have included global financial institutions, private debt funds, investors, sponsors and borrowers.
He has tackled domestic and cross-border transactions involving syndications, private credit and restructures. He has also worked on issues related to corporate and acquisition finance, funds finance, resource and renewable financing, real estate finance and derivatives.
Gill was the Australian counsel for an international cold storage supply chain and logistics REIT in relation to its US$500m 10-year notes offer guaranteed by an Australian subsidiary. He also represented an Australian investment management firm in a $145m unitranche acquisition facility to Permaconn.
He represented Revolution Private Debt Fund II on a $650m net asset value facility from a financial services provider. He also advised on the $95m acquisition of Perth Stadium, Western Australia Schools Project and ACT Law Courts Project from Aberdeen Global Infrastructure Partners.
Gill joined K&L Gates as a special counsel in 2021 after a stint as a senior legal counsel at Investec Australia. He was previously a consultant in Clayton Utz’s banking and finance department, per LinkedIn.
