Hesketh Henry has announced the promotion of Claudia Harnett from associate to senior associate, as well as the promotions of Madeline Wrigley, Aimee Hunt, and Georgina Jones from solicitors to associates, as of 1 February 2026. 

“Congratulations to Claudia, Madeline, Aimee, and Georgina on these well‑deserved promotions,” the Auckland-based firm said in a news release. 

Harnett and Hunt belong to Hesketh Henry’s construction team. Wrigley is part of the firm’s employment team, while Jones is in the private wealth team.

Claudia Harnett

Harnett joined Hesketh Henry in 2023. She focuses on construction and insolvency disputes. She has dealt with issues involving payments, delays, variations, contracts, and defects. 

Her clients have included body corporates, property owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and creditors. 

Her experience also encompasses civil and commercial litigation. She has assisted with matters involving adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and High Court litigation. 

In its news release, the firm shared that Harnett has received recognition for her strong people skills and quality work. 

She is a member of the New Zealand Society of Construction Law, RITANZ, and the Law Association of New Zealand’s property disputes committee. 

Harnett holds LLB and BA degrees. 

Madeline Wrigley

Wrigley joined Hesketh Henry in 2024. She has handled wide-ranging employment matters for employers, employees, and unions. 

Her experience covers investigations, disciplinary processes, dispute resolution, industrial matters, bargaining, and change processes. She has provided advice on best practices under the country’s employment laws. 

In its news release, the firm noted that Wrigley’s practical and client‑focused approach reflects her background in human resources consulting. 

She has LLB and BA degrees. 

Aimee Hunt

Hunt joined Hesketh Henry in 2023. She has dealt with litigation focusing on construction, contractual, and insolvency matters. 

The firm’s news release stated that Hunt has demonstrated a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement. 

She holds LLB and BA degrees. 

Georgina Jones

Jones joined Hesketh Henry as a summer clerk, then as a law graduate. 

With a focus on families and succession, she has tackled various trust, estate, and relationship property matters. Her experience covers contentious and non-contentious matters alike. 

Jones has an LLB (honours) degree.
