Hesketh Henry senior associate joins New Zealand Marina Operators Association board

Hesketh Henry senior associate Charlotte Robertson has joined the board of the New Zealand Marina Operators Association.

She works with a committee that includes the director of Tauranga Marine Precinct, the operations manager at Westhaven Marina, the chief executive of Seaview Marina, and the Director of Wardale Ltd.

According to the firm, Robertson recently boosted her knowledge of maritime law through further study. She has also been building a transport law practice.

She is part of Hesketh Henry’s disputes team, focusing on all aspects of civil and commercial litigation. In particular, she specialises in insurance and construction disputes.

Robertson has worked on professional indemnity claims in the construction sector, subrogated recovery, marine and cargo claims, and complex coverage issues. She has also assisted with complaints before disciplinary bodies such as the New Zealand Law Society Standards Committee. Additionally, she has guided clients in investigations and prosecutions under the Resource Management Act 1991 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

She has acted for clients in statutory investigations and prosecutions. She has appeared before tribunals, the District Court, the High Court, and the Court of Appeal.

Currently, Robertson is president of Auckland Coastguard Incorporated. She is also a founding member of Young Insurance Professionals (YIPs) Australia and New Zealand Inc. (New Zealand branch); moreover, she is part of the New Zealand Insurance Law Association and WISTA New Zealand.

The not-for-profit New Zealand Marina Operators Association is the national trade body representing the marina industry and its suppliers.
