Duncan Cotterill’s insurance group has received a top-tier ranking in the 2021 edition of the Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
Duncan McGill and Jonathan Scragg, specialist partners from within the practice, were named as leading individuals in the insurance field, while lawyers Aaron Sherriff, Ayleath Foote, Chris Shannon, Jessie Lapthorne, Kirsty McDonald, Mark Lawlor, Paul Smith, Rob Coltman, Sarah Townsend, Scott Wilson and Simon Connolly were recognised as recommended lawyers.
Scragg had recently stepped up as Duncan Cotterill’s partnership and board chair.
However, the insurance practice was not the only practice area to receive recognition – the firm’s employment group obtained a tier-two ranking, with partner Olivia Lund receiving the distinction of “next generation partner.” In addition, the IP and technology practices were given tier-three rankings.
Partner Michael Moyes also got the nod as a leading individual in the IP and tech category. He joined the firm last year from Anthony Harper, where he headed up the firm’s IP and tech practice.
Lawyers in the IP and tech field who were honoured with recommendations were Mark Cathro, Oliver Roberts, Scott Moran and Peter Fernando.
Duncan Cotterill boosted many of its lawyers to senior roles in 2020, with major promotions taking place earlier in the year.
