The firm confirmed that all outputs would be reviewed by qualified lawyers
Wynn Williams has adopted the Harvey AI legal AI platform – one of the first law firms in New Zealand to do so.
“Adopting Harvey is a considered step in our long‑term innovation strategy. We have taken a thoughtful and thorough approach to this decision, ensuring it aligns with our values, as well as client needs and expectations”, said managing partner Ash Hill.
The firm said it would use the platform’s safeguards in client data protection. It would also ensure that data handling complies with stringent contractual, regulatory and ethical obligations.
Wynn Williams indicated that its use of Harvey would be subject to strong governance and confidentiality frameworks, with human oversight and evaluation at all stages. Qualified lawyers would be brought in to verify the platform’s output.
In July 2025, Bell Gully became the first large law firm to adopt Harvey.
