Legal AI tech company Clio has rolled out the intelligent legal work platform Clio Work in New Zealand.

According to Clio, this is the first platform of its kind that uses AI to link legal operations with research. It represents a major expansion for Clio in the APAC region, the company said.

Clio Work integrates documents, timeframes and communications in the platform with a library of validated sources of legal authority covering Commonwealth jurisdictions. The platform leverages file notes, correspondence and court dates to generate insights and determine risks relevant to a case; the insights are then linked to firm workflows.

“By integrating a tool that interprets intent and delivers legally grounded output, we are empowering practitioners to look up from their screens and focus on the human connections and high-value advocacy that define the best of the legal profession”, Clio APAC general manager Denise Farmer said.

Clio Work has also been released in Singapore and Hong Kong – markets that, along with New Zealand, “demand high standards of efficiency and accuracy”.
