Nominations open for New Zealand Law Awards

Nominations are now open across 27 categories recognising top deals, firms and in-house teams.

The 12th annual New Zealand Law Awards will return on 17 November 2016.

Sponsored for the third consecutive year by Crowe Horwath, this year’s event will be held at a new venue and introduces several new categories.

The new categories include Deal Team of the Year (>100 Employees) and Deal Team of the Year (<100 Employees) while the existing Managing Partner of the Year award has also been split into two categories based on firm size. An overall Financial Services In-house Team of the Year award will now encompass in-house teams working across banking, insurance and financial services.

“We want to ensure these Awards recognise the full spectrum of the legal industry,” said Key Media managing director APAC Justin Kennedy on the decision to introduce new categories.

“In particular, the new categories allow more boutique and mid-tier firms to get involved and gain recognition for their achievements, the role they play in key transactions and their impact on the market.

“The event has grown significantly over the last few years thanks to very strong industry support, and it was clear we needed to move to a larger venue. We’re looking forward to delivering a stand-out event at The Langham later this year.”

Nominations are open online until Friday 22 July. For more information and to nominate visit www.lawawards.co.nz.
