The firm will provide legal advice, financial assistance and conduct volunteer work
Saunders Robinson Brown (SRB) is sponsoring Cancer Society Southern (CSS) in a three-year partnership.
The organisation helps provide accommodation at the Canterbury Cancer Centre, cancer navigation services, and emotional and practical support to cancer-afflicted individuals and their families.
“As a proud South Island firm we recognise the social responsibility we have to support charities doing great work in our region. This sponsorship represents an alignment of values and vision, specifically around driving improved health outcomes in our community”, SRB managing partner Jonathan Gillard said.
SRB noted that one in three New Zealanders are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
“This collaboration ensures we have the legal support needed to navigate challenges we face and advocate more effectively for those we support who are impacted by a cancer diagnosis”, CSS CFO April Pike said.
Gillard confirmed that SRB would be supporting CSS in various ways.
“We look forward to working with the CSS team, getting involved and helping legally, financially and through volunteer work – starting with Daffodil Day on 29 August when we’ll be running the collection stand at Merivale Mall in Christchurch!” he said.
