Saunders Robinson Brown (SRB) is set to sponsor the Hagley Oval Members Marquee in Christchurch in a three-year deal.

SRB managing partner Jonathan Gillard confirmed that the firm would also be partnering with the Canterbury Cricket Trust on the sponsorship. The firm indicated that it is known for being involved in and supportive of sports, especially cricket.

“[Hagley Oval] is one of the premier cricketing and sporting venues in New Zealand and as a proud Canterbury law firm it’s important to us to be involved with an organisation which showcases the best of our region to the world. Christchurch is emerging as a leading New Zealand venue for hosting world-class sporting events and we are proud to be playing our part”, Gillard said.

According to SRB partner Lee Robinson, the sponsorship deal includes exclusive naming rights of the Members Marquee area for every international cricket match and domestic Super Smash game. Moreover, TVNZ is New Zealand Cricket’s new broadcast partner, which will facilitate the broadcast of Hagley Oval matches across the globe.

He added that the sponsorship enables SRB to play a part in the improvement and renewal of Christchurch.
