McCaw Lewis has promoted solicitor and property team member Amy Bird to the role of senior solicitor.

Bird had joined the firm just this year.

“Amy joined the McCaw Lewis whānau in February and has been an important addition to our property team, recognised by her peers and clients as a very safe set of hands,” McCaw Lewis wrote in a LinkedIn post.

Bird has advised on residential sale and purchase transactions, commercial property, property development, subdivisions and development projects. Prior to starting with McCaw Lewis, she handled various corporate, commercial and property matters while part of a national law firm.

“Amy strives to provide straight-forward, practical advice and enjoys working closely with clients to help them achieve their goals,” McCaw Lewis said on its website.

Bird was admitted to the bar in 2019.

McCaw Lewis has made a number of notable appointments recently – earlier this year, the firm promoted Māori commercial specialist Jessica Middleton to senior associate.

The firm also welcomed three new directors last year, along with its first executive director.
