Holland Beckett has announced the promotion of Rebecca Steens – a Tauranga-based succession and estate planning lawyer with over 12 years of experience – to the partnership as of 1 April 2026.
“Her elevation to the Partnership recognises Rebecca’s sustained contribution to the firm’s strategic growth, the development of its Succession, Estates and Trusts practice, and her reputation as a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex estate and succession planning matters,” the firm said in a news release.
Holland Beckett shared that Steens helped lead the firm in establishing and expanding its succession, estates, and trusts practice into the Bay of Plenty’s largest specialist succession, trusts, and estates team.

With a practical perspective, Steens helps clients tackle complex issues and proactively prepare for potential future disputes.
The firm noted that her promotion has grown the firm’s partnership to 17 partners.
