Rachael Robertson, his predecessor, stays on as commercial and property partner
Corcoran French Lawyers, a full-service general practice law firm, has announced the appointment of Mark Henderson as managing partner, replacing Rachael Robertson in the role.

Henderson is a senior litigation partner who has focused on resolving disputes. Based in Christchurch, he has assisted clients in the Christchurch, Kaiapoi, and Greymouth offices. He has acted for individuals and companies alike before courts and tribunals.
His experience has encompassed employment law, insurance, civil litigation, and dispute resolution. His practice areas have also included mediation as well as health and safety management.
Throughout his practice, Henderson has dealt with leaky homes and earthquake claims, debt recovery, civil cases, workplace investigations, insurance matters, and commercial, property, and construction disputes.
He joined Corcoran French’s litigation team in 2004. Before that, he worked in Dunedin and in London. There, he handled civil claims and prosecutions.
Henderson has chaired NZ LAW Limited and actively participated in other governance roles.
In its news release, Corcoran French noted that Robertson will remain with the firm as a partner in its commercial and property team.
According to Corcoran French, under her leadership, the firm has grown and integrated with Hannan & Seddon in Greymouth.

Based in Christchurch, she joined Corcoran French in 2002, became a partner in 2005, and received a promotion as managing partner in 2020.
Robertson has more than three decades of legal experience in commercial law, property, trusts, and estate and succession planning. Her legal practice has also covered securities, financing, franchising, and helping clients buy and sell businesses and form and restructure companies.
She previously worked as a risk manager at a large public sector organisation. She commenced her legal career in Southland.
