Anthea Herron and Nikki Fisher have returned to Juno Legal after stints at Tait Communications and Todd Corporation, respectively.

Herron works from Juno Legal’s office in Te Waipounamu the South Island. She brings over three decades of private practice and in-house legal experience gleaned from working across New Zealand, Australia and the UK. As a private practitioner, she worked with Bell Gully, Corrs Chambers Westgarth (Sydney) and Allen & Overy (London).

She was previously Tait Communications’ commercial and legal manager, handling the Public Safety Network project. She has tackled matters involving telecommunications, media, infrastructure and aviation; in particular, she is an expert in commercial contracts, governance and large-scale project work.

Herron has held senior legal positions and commercial roles with Kordia Limited and Orcon Internet. She was also legal counsel at Stevenson Group and New Zealand Funds Management.

At present, she is working with Catalyst IT; previously, she supported Tait Communications, Stuff and Airways Corporation as a Juno lawyer.

Meanwhile, Fisher is working with the Juno team at Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington. She has tackled issues involving investment banking, science and innovation, funds management, tertiary education, foreign affairs, and film sectors.

She was Todd Corporation’s senior legal counsel, spearheading work on large-scale solar and wind renewable energy projects. She was once Summerset Group’s general counsel and executive leader, where she launched a new legal function and worked on complex, high-value transactions.

Fisher’s initial stint with Juno Legal began in 2018 and ended in 2024 – during this time, she supported Wētā Workshop, NZ Super Fund, Todd Corporation and MFAT. She has served as Hōhepa Wellington’s risk committee chair and director; she is also part of the Institute of Directors.

As a private practitioner, she practised with Russell McVeagh and Duncan Cotterill. As a Juno lawyer, she is presently working with Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

“We are delighted to welcome Nikki and Anthea back to the Juno team. It is wonderful to see our foundational model of working flourishing, where exceptional lawyers can have fulfilling careers that fit around their lives while providing pragmatic and seasoned expertise to our clients”, Juno Legal CEO and founder Helen Mackay said. “The range and depth of experience that both Nikki and Anthea have developed in their most recent roles and throughout their careers position them well to add this unique value to our clients and across our team”.
