They will join Jones Day's corporate practice in Sydney
Jones Day has brought in Charles Bogle and James Wood of Hogan Lovells as its newest corporate partners.
Bogle focuses on complex M&A transactions, while Wood concentrates on private equity and funds transactions.
“Charles and James are both highly accomplished lawyers with experience advising on some of the most significant corporate transactions in Australia over the past two decades. This depth of experience in M&A, private equity and capital markets deals will be a tremendous asset to our clients and an important enhancement to our depth of capabilities in the Australasia region”, said Andy Levine, who co-leads Jones Day’s corporate practice.
Bogle has worked with private equity funds, infrastructure investors and foreign direct investments for major Australian funds. He has advised on matters in the infrastructure, energy, technology and healthcare sectors.
Wood has worked on the establishment of large private equity funds across the globe, including funds with capitalizations exceeding $1bn.
“We continue to grow our transactional capabilities in Australia as part of the strategic plan we implemented last year, and we believe our clients will be excited to work with Charles and James”, said Christopher Lovrien, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s Australia region. “They both have a deep understanding of the market in Australia and significant experience advising corporate and financial clients here in Australia and on cross-border deals across the world”.
Both Bogle and Wood will be working from Jones Day’s Sydney office.
