There are new managing partners for Hong Kong and Singapore, and a new head of Asia business strategy

Norton Rose Fulbright has made three appointments in Asia as it overhauls its management team in the region.
Corporate partner Psyche Tai has been appointed managing partner of the Hong Kong office, while finance partner Yu-En Ong now heads the Singapore office.
Former North Asia head and Hong Kong partner Philip John will be retiring in August and former South Asia head and Singapore partner Jeff Smith will become a consultant.
The firm also created a new role – head of Asia business strategy – and appointed project finance partner Nick Merrit to the role. He will coordinate business opportunities across Asia while continuing as the global chief of the firm’s infrastructure, mining, and commodities group.
The overhaul comes after the firm in Asia recently hired former PwC partner John Berriman as global chief operating officer, replacing Mark Whitley.
NRF is in the process of merging with US BigLaw Chadbourne & Parke. The merger is expected to go live in the second quarter.
