Firm says it is “grateful to our clients for their constant support”
For the second time in a row, Rajah & Tann Singapore (R&T) was crowned Firm of the Year at the 2021 Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific Awards
The firm was also named Shipping Firm of the year and bagged two Impact Case awards at the virtual ceremony held on 27 May.
“We are honoured to be recognised by Benchmark Litigation for numerous achievements and are grateful to our clients for their constant support of our work, and all my colleagues for their hard work and dedication,” said Patrick Ang, managing partner at R&T. “The Impact Case award for securing the first-ever recognition of Singapore’s moratorium law by the UK court was particularly significant as it highlighted the strength of our restructuring regime and the talent pool we have in corporate restructuring.”
Meanwhile, R&T affiliate firm Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (AHP) in Indonesia nabbed Indonesia firm of the year for the second consecutive time. Joint head, litigation and dispute resolution and partner Eri Hertiawan was named Lawyer of the Year for Indonesia while partner and co-founder Chandra Hamzah took home the runner up award.
Additionally, Chau Huy Quang, managing partner at R&T LCT Lawyers in Vietnam, was recognised as lawyer of the year for Vietnam.
