The promoted lawyers work with the energy, tax, employment and governance groups
Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) Kramer promoted eight lawyers to executive counsel across its Australian offices effective 1 May.
The elevated lawyers practise in a number of fields, including energy, tax, employment and governance
Elise Bulla (Sydney) is an energy and infrastructure lawyer whose work covers large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage, onshore and offshore wind, and hybrid projects. She has experience in both private practice and in-house roles and has advised on projects in Australia and the UK.
Elizabeth Hersey (Sydney) advises on merger clearances, competition and consumer law investigations, and third-party access disputes across the consumer goods, infrastructure, and technology sectors. She has also held in-house competition and consumer law roles at two ASX-listed fast-moving consumer goods companies.
Bianca Marcocci (Sydney) is part of the firm’s head office advisory team. Her work covers corporate governance, including disclosure, board matters, and legal risk management, with a focus on listed companies.
Marco Fedeli (Melbourne) has handled matters involving all aspects of employment and industrial relations, including workplace investigations, executive remuneration and terminations, payroll review and compliance, industrial relations bargaining and disputes, and workplace training.
Adam Ray (Melbourne) advises listed and unlisted companies on employment and incentives aspects of M&A, executive remuneration, terminations, Corporations Act compliance, outsourcing, and employee incentive and management equity plans. For more than 11 years, he has worked across the firm’s Melbourne, Brisbane and London offices.
Naison Seery (Melbourne) advises on the income tax aspects of corporate, private capital, and energy transition matters across the technology, funds, and projects sectors.
Graeme Tanner (Melbourne) has tackled work health and safety law, with a focus on the intersection of WHS, employment, and workers’ compensation. His work spans crisis management, incident response, regulatory engagement, and strategic advisory matters for clients in the mining, energy, construction and financial services sectors.
Michelle Gosling (Brisbane) advises on project development, large-scale acquisitions and disposals of industrial, commercial, and retail property, and major leasing transactions across various industries.
Kristin Stammer, executive partner for Australia and Asia, said the newly promoted lawyers had demonstrated “outstanding contribution” to the firm’s clients.
“They are trusted advisers to our clients with a deep understanding of the complex legal and commercial environment our clients operate in,” she said. “They bring expertise in competition, corporate governance, energy and projects, tax, real estate and employment, industrial relations and safety, to support the continued strength of our market-leading practices.”
The promotions form part of a broader global round at the firm, which elevated 32 lawyers to the same rank worldwide, HSF Kramer said.
