K&L Gates has bolstered its partnership with the addition of an energy expert in Sydney.

Kelly Davies has joined the firm’s energy, infrastructure, and resources team after her stint as the head of Norton Rose Fulbright’s power sector practice in Australia.

She brings a deep understanding of the energy market, including the oil and gas, power, and renewables sectors.

Davies boasts extensive experience on the different aspects of energy transactions, including project development, company asset and acquisition, financing, structuring and procurement, and sustainability. She is also an expert in the arrangement of power purchase agreements (PPAs), and conventional and renewable retail electricity supply agreements (ESAs).

Davies advises energy and non-energy clients in Australia, the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Nick Nichola, Australia managing partner at K&L Gates, said that the addition of Davies has ensured that the firm can continue to provide “the highest quality strategic advice” to its clients.
