Corrs lifts corporate practice with Clayton Utz hire
Corrs Chambers Westgarth has confirmed that Adam Foreman has joined the firm as partner in Sydney.

Foreman moves from Clayton Utz, where he spent 10 years and was most recently a special counsel. He is the third lateral partner hire for Corrs’s corporate, finance, and tax teams in the last few months.

“Adam has broad experience leading a range of corporate and M&A transactions – including public and private share and asset acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, strategic alliances and equity capital raisings – for domestic and international clients,” said John W.H. Denton AO, Corrs partner and CEO.

He also has significant expertise in acting on public takeover bids and schemes of arrangement as well as providing related securities law and regulatory advice in respect of listed companies including assisting clients with ASX, ASIC, and Takeovers Panel applications and processes. This expertise will blend well with those of existing partners in the practice. Denton said.

Foreman has also had great success working with new technology, emerging, and high-growth companies, which he advises on general corporate, M&A, and fundraising matters.

“His work with media companies has also seen him provide strategic restructuring and M&A advice to a number of different businesses in that industry, while also guiding those clients through the relevant broadcasting and media ownership regulatory laws,” Denton said.

Most recently, Corrs hired litigation and insolvency partner Felicity Healey from legacy Henry Davis York. It has also promoted five to the partnership in January. Corrs hired five partners from HDY in August. It also added a senior partner from NRF in December.
