Wynn Williams has welcomed Meredith Connell senior associate Paul Comrie-Thomson to its partnership, bolstering its dispute resolution offering.

His addition will also “build the strength and relevance of the SCG network,” according to Wynn Williams.  

Comrie-Thomson specialises in competition and economic regulation. He is an experienced litigator with experience in public, regulatory, and commercial litigation. He has advised both public and private sector clients on complex commercial and public law matters involving resource management and environmental law, local government law, administrative law, contract law, and property law.

Comrie-Thomson's background in competition law and economic regulation spans areas such as M&A, cartels, and regulated industries. He also has experience advising on matters involving international law and cross-border disputes.

He has often acted for the New Zealand Commerce Commission; he has also acted as counsel in District Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal proceedings in New Zealand. Moreover, he has served as counsel in a trans-Tasman proceeding before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. He has also appeared before various arbitral tribunals.
