Morris Legal has boosted its senior team with the appointment of Lauren Milne, formerly a senior associate at MinterEllisonRuddWatts.
Milne joins Morris Legal as a senior associate. In addition to having worked with MinterEllisonRuddWatts, she logged a stint at LeeSalmonLong.
She specialises in dealing with complex trust, estate, and relationship property disputes. She also has broad experience in a wide range of litigation matters, including contractual breaches, company and shareholder disputes, construction claims, lease disputes, debt recovery and insolvency proceedings, negligence, and restraint of trade claims.
Milne has represented clients in various mediations and other alternative dispute resolution and regularly appears in the District Court and the High Court.
“Lauren’s significant experience in both advocacy and commercial litigation lends itself well to high-net-worth private client disputes and continues to reinforce Morris Legal’s reputation as a leading boutique litigation firm,” Morris Legal said.
Joining Milne as a new addition to the firm’s roster is Sarah Flett, who will work with Morris Legal’s litigation team as an associate. Flett was previously with Parry Field Lawyers as a solicitor in its Christchurch-based dispute resolution team.
She has extensive expertise in handling family law disputes. She focuses on assisting clients with dividing their property and resolving parenting and guardianship issues following separation. She also helps clients remove and appoint guardians and property managers and obtain court-ordered will or trust.
Flett is also an active member of the Family Law Section and Auckland Women Lawyer’s Association.
