Chapman Tripp yesterday announced the promotion of Daniel Kenyon, Jeremy Upson and Kate Yesberg.
Kenyon is based in property from the firm’s Auckland office, while Upson and Yesberg work in litigation and dispute resolution from the Wellington office.
Chapman Tripp managing partner Andrew Poole congratulated the three on their achievement.

Kenyon’s focus is on large-scale residential subdivisions and development work, retail development leasing and commercial office leasing; but he specialises in all aspects of commercial property law. He advises clients on the acquisition and development of large commercial property; due diligence investigations of commercial property portfolios; design, build and lease contracts for industrial and commercial projects; and the sale, purchase, management and leasing of substantial commercial portfolios.
With experience in in commercial and public law disputes, Upson specialises in litigation and dispute resolution. He advises clients on professional disciplinary processes; company directors’, auditors’ and statutory supervisors’ liability; disputes under complex IT contracts; privacy and confidential information; claims from the Canterbury earthquakes; and contractual and statutory interpretation.
Yesberg joined Chapman Tripp last year after completing a Masters of Law as a Fulbright Scholar at New York University. She advises clients on a broad range of commercial disputes, including disputes involving international elements. She also provides policy and regulatory advice, particularly on international law, energy and environmental issues.
