Wardill Pasley merges with Gaze Burt

Auckland firm Wardill Pasley has merged with Gaze Burt in what the latter describes as its biggest merger in at least three decades.

Wardill Pasley will operate under the Gaze Burt umbrella, with partner Vaughn Summerton joining the latter’s leadership team.

“Our merged firm, with the strength of its core services and the benefit of practitioners with many years’ experience in New Zealand law, will provide an exceptional service to clients and provide our staff with excellent growth and development opportunities,” Gaze Burt said.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer clients additional expertise and support with the retention of the Wardill Pasley team, who have been serving the Silverdale community for a number of years. Our clients will be able to enjoy the convenience of a fourth office location.”

Gaze Burt explained that Wardill Pasley’s existing client base in Silverdale would also benefit from Gaze Burt’s employment offering.

The merger took effect on 1 June. Summerton will be working alongside Gaze Burt directors Michael Hockly, Les Allen, Michael Bright, Shelley Eden, Kimberly Knox and Rachael Jhinku, as well as practice manager Sarah Hughes.
