Tavendale + Partners has welcomed a new partner with the promotion of Natalie Kong.

Kong practises with the firm’s commercial team. She focuses on corporate and commercial law, tackling matters involving corporate structuring, joint ventures, M&A, debt funding arrangements and complex commercial contracts.

She has also worked on issues related to FMCA considerations and capital raisings. Moreover, she had negotiated and prepared leases and renewals for landlords and tenants.

Kong assisted a research consultancy as it was acquired by an international insurance claims services provider. She also advised on NZX lister on complex supply arrangements and commercial contract negotiations.

In addition, she helped a council-controlled organisation to acquire a property maintenance group; in this capacity, she managed related debt funding arrangements.

Kong works from Tavendale + Partners’ Christchurch office. She commenced with the firm as an associate in April 2022, per LinkedIn. Previously, she logged a stint at Saunders Robinson Brown.
