Sharp Tudhope Lawyers appoints new special counsel

Tauranga firm Sharp Tudhope Lawyers has announced the appointment of James Dow to its commercial team as special counsel.

Dow brings with him significant experience gained from stints at major firms in Auckland, as well as several years at global law firm Watson Farley & Williams in London.

According to the firm, Dow will subsequently join its partnership once he has fulfilled New Zealand Law Society’s regulatory requirements.

Richard Hoare, partner at Sharp Tudhope Lawyers, said that Dow’s appointment is another strategic move by the firm to strengthen relationships with their clients and the community.

“We are always looking to the future and ensuring our legal advice is leading the way,” said Hoare. “It’s about recruiting the right people with the right expertise and we are delighted that James has chosen to join Sharp Tudhope. We care deeply for this region and for our clients… [and] we consider James a great fit to further strengthen our team and service our clients.”

“The Bay of Plenty is home to many thriving industries and continues to experience huge growth,” said Dow. “I’m very excited about joining the great business community here and thrilled to have joined Sharp Tudhope with its long and illustrious reputation in the Bay of Plenty.”
