Senior lawyer elevated to director

After joining the firm earlier this year, Angela Parlane has been elevated to director at Shine Lawyers.

Parlane moved to the firm in February from her own boutique law firm. She will be based in Shine Lawyers’ Auckland office.

She specialises in civil litigation, insurance litigation, and building defect cases. She also has extensive experience in leaky homes and earthquake cases, Shine said.

Parlane also has international arbitration experience, having worked in an arbitration tribunal in Switzerland for cases about World War II-era bank accounts. She was also a lawyer at Lloyd’s of London, before moving back to Switzerland to join a large corporation as in-house counsel.

Her practice services a wide range of clients, including homeowners, company directors, real estate agents, insurers, builders, construction companies, property developers, project managers, and architects.
