2022 NZ Lawyer Rising Star and Chapman Tripp senior associate Philip Ascroft has snagged a seat on the board of the New Zealand Shareholders’ Association (NZSA).

He was named an associate director for the non-profit membership organisation effective 14 February and joins the board as a specialist in corporate and securities law. In particular, he focuses on ECM, M&A and corporate governance.

Ascroft brings considerable experience to the board, having tackled major IPOs and other ECM transactions. His clients include issuers, arrangers, and underwriters on all aspects of IPOs and capital raisings. He has also provided guidance on listed company compliance and takeovers.

Chapman Tripp has supported the NZSA with legal services for a number of years.
