Ngā Ratonga Ture|Auckland Council Legal Services has named Kathryn Hickling as associate GC (property),

Hickling stepped into the role effective 15 January following the establishment of a standalone property team within the organisation. Hickling brings over 24 years of experience in property law gleaned through her work across New Zealand and Australia.

She has been with the Auckland Council for the last four years.

Ngā Ratonga Ture, the in-house legal team for Auckland Council, includes over 50 lawyers and legal executives. The property team tackles projects involving Tāmaki Makaurau’s waterfront, regional parks, community facilities, co-management with iwi, film studios, major events, marae developments, commercial and residential developments, as well as climate adaptation, mitigation and response work.
