New shareholder, investment boosts OneLaw

A new major shareholder and a new investment have given a boost to legal software company OneLaw.

Stratos Technology Partners’ investment comes in at more than $1m, with the company picking up a 14% stake in One Law in the process. CEO David Carter will also come on board as OneLaw’s CEO.

Stratos has worked closely with OneLaw as key developers of its product for over two years, OneLaw said. Stratos’ investment will be directed towards speeding up development, expanding the OneLaw team, and extending the company’s footprint in the New Zealand market.

“In the coming year you can expect to see many strategic initiatives aimed at positioning OneLaw as a clear leader and innovator across the legal industry”, Carter said.

OneLaw also brought in new CTO Tony Rogers from Stratos. New product owner Bex Craig will also work alongside Rogers and the development team.
