Law Society's Waikato Bay of Plenty branch elects new president

The Waikato Bay of Plenty branch of the New Zealand Law Society (NZLS) has elected Terry Singh as its new president, replacing outgoing president Russell Boot.

Singh is a lawyer at the Hamilton Public Defence Service and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in September 1996.

The Waikati Bay of Plenty branch held elections at its biennial general meeting on 19 June. Members also elected Johan Niemand as vice president, as well as Lisa Awatere, Tim Braithwaite, Phillip Cornegé, Brendan Cullen, James Gurnick, Emma Miles, Erin Reilly, Jesse Savage, Gene Tomlinson, and Marise Winthrop as council members.
