Lane Neave has welcomed solicitors Carlo Wan, Julia Strickett, and Sarah Duncraft to its partnership in a recent promotions round.

Wan’s appointment will take effect on 1 October, while Strickett and Duncraft will assume their positions on 1 January 2023. Their promotions bring the total number of partners to 27.

Wan is part of the corporate team in Auckland. He specialises in business acquisition, corporate structuring, commercial contracts, and financial services. He has represented a range of clients, including internationally listed and unlisted corporates, Chinese state-owned entities, financial institutions, and international consumer brands.

Strickett is a member of the immigration team in Auckland. She is a specialist immigration lawyer who has gained significant experience in New Zealand, Australia, and Europe. She deals with complex immigration matters, including advocacy against deportation liability, special direction requests to the Minister of Immigration, and regularisation of non-New Zealand residents onshore.

She has worked closely with numerous employers, ranging from owner-operators to listed and multi-national corporates.

Duncraft is part of the commercial property team in Christchurch. She has extensive expertise in large-scale acquisitions and divestments, commercial leasing, and development agreements. She has acted for a wide array of clients, such as NZX and ASX listed companies, state owned enterprises, and high-net-worth individuals.

“It is always a pleasure to promote our talented future leaders from within the firm,” Lane Neave managing partner Andrew Shaw said.” We know that Carlo, Julia, and Sarah will all bring something new and refreshing to the partnership, helping us continue to serve our clients and solidify our reputation as one of New Zealand’s leading national firms.”
