Kordia boosts legal leadership with new executive GM

Kordia has boosted its leadership with the addition of Emily Reeve as its new executive GM – legal and risk.

In the role, Reeve will manage the group’s legal, risk and company secretary functions under CEO Shaun Rendell.

Rendell highlighted Reeve’s experience in communications and telecommunications. Prior to joining Kordia, Reeve had served as Vocus Group’s GC and regulatory GM for more than six years; she helped advise Vocus Group on its merger with 2degrees. She also worked with Magic Circle firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, where she assisted on the US$44bn merger of Holcim and Lafarge.

More recently, she held several positions at Constellation Brands, including director of legal, privacy officer and head of risk.

Reeve took the crown for Young In-house Lawyer of the Year at the NZ Law Awards in 2018. She was also among NZ Lawyer’s In-house Leaders in 2019, a Rising Star in 2020, and an Elite Woman for 2022.
