Former Corcoran French managing partner to retire from full-time practice

Former Corcoran French managing partner Martin Bell is set to retire from full-time practice on 31 March.

He commenced with the firm as a partner in 2000 and led it from 2010 to 2020 before transitioning to a consultancy position last year. His legal practice focused on civil litigation, trust and estate disputes, ACC, resource management, and local government work.

“[The retirement] was not an easy decision, as I have greatly enjoyed my career as a lawyer and my time at Corcoran French over the last 24 years”, Bell said. “It’s hard to know exactly when the time is right but I want to leave on a high whilst I still can remember what is in my files and recall everyone’s names here!”

He revealed that he intended to devote his retirement to family and to home projects, as well as his bach.

Corcoran French confirmed that Bell would be moving into a part-time role within the firm for a six-month period to work on specific projects.
