Bramwell Bate Lawyers, a full-service law firm headquartered in Hastings, has announced Kevin Osborne’s transition from his long-time directorial position to a consultant role as of 1 April 2026, as well as the promotions of Charlie Robson and Lois McLintock.
Amid this shift, Bramwell Bate shared that it seeks to provide continuity for its clients and practice areas through a structured transition plan.
“Kevin has been a cornerstone of Bramwell Bate and his previous firm, Bate Hallett, for over 50 years, shaping the growth of our practice and mentoring generations of lawyers,” the firm said in its update.
According to Bramwell Bate, Osborne has demonstrated leadership, integrity, competitiveness, grit, determination, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to his clients throughout his career.
“Kevin has applied this same discipline to his life as a legendary multi-day adventure racer, competing in and completing some of the most demanding endurance events in the world,” the firm said.
According to his profile on the firm’s website, Osborne’s legal experience has spanned general conveyancing, corporate and commercial matters, family trusts, estates, asset management and protection, subdivisions and property development, charitable trusts, and sports law.
Bramwell Bate then announced the promotions of Charlie Robson to senior associate and of Lois McLintock to associate, in recognition of their contributions to the team.
“Congratulations to both Lois and Charlie on these milestones – very well deserved, and we look forward to seeing your continued success!” the firm said in the update.
Bramwell Bate explained that Robson’s elevation aims to acknowledge his calm and pragmatic approach to complex situations, as well as his commitment to clients.
Per his firm profile, Robson has focused on relationship property and family law. His practice has covered the pre-relationship protection of assets and the post-separation division of assets, including personally owned assets, companies, and trusts.
His work has also encompassed disputes involving spousal maintenance, childcare, guardianship, and family violence. He received his LLB from the University of Canterbury.
Bramwell Bate then noted that McLintock’s promotion seeks to recognise her professionalism and her clients’ and colleagues’ trust in her.
Born and raised in Hawke’s Bay, McLintock obtained her LLB from Auckland University of Technology in 2020 and her LLM from the University of Auckland in 2021, according to her firm profile.
The firm offers corporate and commercial advice and legal services to various businesses across Hawke’s Bay.
