AWS Legal announces trio of promotions

AWS Legal has rewarded three lawyers with new positions in its latest round of promotions.

Allanah Cunningham ascended to the role of senior associate, while Robbie McKenzie and Brigitte Simpson have been elevated to associate and senior solicitor, respectively.

Cunningham is part of the rural and agribusiness team. She is a trust and property law specialist with significant experience in farm succession planning and restructures. Since joining AWS Legal in 2017, she has been involved in various complex trust and farming transactions and has assisted several first-time buyers with their home purchases.

McKenzie is also a member of the rural and agribusiness team. He specialises in property law matters, including farm transactions, restructures, complex subdivisions, easements, and land covenants. In addition, he has experience in residential property dealings and first home purchases.

Simpson is part of the commercial team. She has extensive expertise in a range of commercial matters, including reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, company restructures and administration, trademarks applications, drafting terms of trade, and sale and purchase of businesses.

“Allanah, Robbie, and Brigitte, under the guidance of the partnership, have developed and continue to develop excellent legal skills in their specialty areas,” AWS Legal CEO Grant Yorkstone said. “It is a genuine pleasure to celebrate the successes of our staff and these promotions have been well deserved.”
