The deal bolsters PeopleIN’s trans‑Tasman capability, with Infrawork bringing its expertise in international workforce recruitment, trades and labour. The deal was announced on 20 February and completed a week later; per the deal terms provided to the ASX, the acquisition was financed with $24m in upfront cash consideration and up to $32m in additional earn-out payments linked to agreed earnings targets.

Corporate M&A partner Reuben Woods spearheaded DLA Piper’s team on this deal, receiving support senior associate Steph McQuaid, associates Tayla McEntee and William Britton, and solicitor Sneha Kant. Also pitching in were partners Justin March (real estate), Edward Eisdell-Moore (privacy and IP), Mark Williamson (competition), Michael Thompson (finance), David Johnston (tax) and Pavanie Edirisuriya (regulatory).

Infrawork consists of skilled labour contracting business Extrastaff and migration services provider Visahub. It also holds a stake in Manila-based employment agency Sky Bourne International.
