2023 NZ Law Awards event partner is on the lookout for the country's best boutique firm

For 2023 NZ Law Awards event partner LexisNexis, small law firms are “an important engine of New Zealand’s legal market”. Thus, this year, the organisation is setting its sights on looking for the country’s best boutique law firm.

“LexisNexis is honoured to be sponsoring the Boutique Law Firm of the Year. The hard work and dedication of lawyers in striving to be exceptional and to advance the rule of law is a key driver to a harmonious society”, said Aya Riola, general manager – NZ at LexisNexis.

Last year, the prestigious award was won by Juno Legal. The window is open for leading boutiques to throw their names in the hat this year and try to claim the crown from the NewLaw firm.

The nominations period for the 2023 NZ Law Awards kicked off on 5 June and will run until 7 July. The awards highlight the achievements of the leading lawyers, law firms, in-house teams and mediators in New Zealand.

Those looking to nominate can do so online; you can submit nominations for as many of the 25 categories available as you like. The Excellence Awardees will be revealed on 31 August, after which a panel of independent judges will determine the overall winners.

The winners will then be revealed at the 2023 NZ Law Awards ceremony, which will be held at the Cordis Auckland on 23 November. The black-tie gala event will be hosted by The Nutters Club’s Mike King.

NZ Lawyer would like to extend special thanks to event partner LexisNexis, as well as to event sponsors Resolution Institute, Fluid Recruitment, James & Wells, Russell McVeagh and Artemis Executive Recruitment, for supporting this event and the recognition of legal excellence.
