Based in Perth, Kate Walawski has experience in workplace relations
Dentons, a global law firm, has announced the national expansion of its employment and safety practice through the addition of Kate Walawski as a partner in Perth, Western Australia.
“Kate is an important strategic appointment, with our Employment & Safety team now offering a national presence,” said Amber Warren, Dentons’ chair for Australia and chief executive officer for the Australasian region, in a news release.
“I’m looking forward to growing the Employment & Safety practice in Perth, and the national and international opportunities being part of the world’s largest global law firm will bring my clients,” added Walawski in the firm’s news release.
Walawski has garnered over 15 years of experience spanning workplace relations, employment and safety law, advisory services, litigation and dispute resolution, investigations, compliance and risk management, and training and education.
She has handled sensitive investigations, dealt with high-stakes disputes, and implemented organisational change on behalf of clients such as executives and organisations across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.

The news release noted that Walawski has experience as a law firm principal and consultant. Specifically, according to her LinkedIn page, she served as a principal practising in the areas of workplace relations and employment and safety at Cullen Macleod Lawyers in Perth.
Per her LinkedIn page, she has worked as a barrister at the independent bar in Perth and as a private practice lawyer at various boutique and national law firms. She is also a nationally accredited mediator, keynote speaker, educator, and facilitator.
According to her LinkedIn page, Walawski has pursued an LLB from the University of Western Australia and a master’s degree in employment and labour relations law at the University of Melbourne.
