King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has announced the reappointment of Renae Lattey to her second term, beginning 31 December 2025, as the international law firm’s chief executive partner for Australia.
“She has the full confidence of the KWM Australia Board and partners, and we are grateful for her commitment to taking the firm forward through this next period,” said David Friedlander, chair for Australia, in the media release.
In its media release, KWM shared that Lattey’s reappointment demonstrated her leadership and her strategic ability to help the firm deliver a strong business performance and navigate change and complexity.

“Throughout her first term, Renae has demonstrated tremendous leadership,” Friedlander added. “She has navigated the challenges that present themselves in our globally connected world, always placing our clients and people at the very centre.”
“I feel very fortunate to be trusted to lead KWM (Australia) for another 4 years,” Lattey said in KWM’s media release. “Looking ahead I’m focused on sustainable high performance and continuing to lift our legal excellence, while evolving how we deliver for our clients to ensure we remain relevant and competitive in an AI world.”

As chief executive partner for Australia, she has helped KWM develop and implement the Australian practice’s strategy.
Before her appointment to her current role, Lattey served as managing partner for clients and mergers and acquisitions. In this position, she oversaw the firm’s client and sector strategy and worked on improving the client experience.
According to her firm bio, before this managerial role, she dealt with international matters. She assisted notable telecommunications clients across the Asia Pacific. She also handled projects in Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe.
Lattey advised regional governments on World Bank telecommunications projects in developing countries. She also helped international communications providers navigate Australia’s regulatory environment.
Based in Melbourne, she has worked across KWM’s corporate, commercial, digital economy, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
