Burch&Co, a boutique corporate and commercial law firm based in Melbourne, has announced the following appointments to its commercial team: Eruera Harry-Reading as a senior associate co-leading the team, and Stephanie Elliott as an associate.

In a media release, Burch&Co shared that the additions of Harry-Reading and Elliott seek to respond to a 45 percent increase in commercial work volumes in 2025 and help the commercial team keep up with clients’ service delivery expectations.

In his new role as co-head of the commercial team, Harry-Reading also serves as the firm’s resident subject matter expert for commercial document review and drafting. He helps lead, mentor, and supervise lawyers and support staff members.

Harry-Reading also supports the corporate transactions team with legal due diligence. His duties include preparing, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, leases, licences, and terms and conditions, as well as advocating for clients in commercial negotiations.

He previously worked as a senior lawyer at a corporate and commercial firm in Auckland. In a contract with a film production company within the film and entertainment industry, he assisted with a broad range of business matters.

“I am looking forward to adding value for our fantastic clients as well as the amazing team at Burch & Co,” Harry-Reading said in the media release. “Helping people and doing good things is incredibly important to me, and this new role gives me that opportunity.”

Burch&Co described Elliott as a commercial lawyer who genuinely strives to achieve personal and professional growth.
