Wealth-management platform completes IPO with Hall & Wilcox's help

Hall & Wilcox has helped one of Australia’s leading wealth management and administration platforms successfully debut on the ASX.

The firm advised Powerwrap on all aspects of its $17.4m IPO and ASX-listing. The firm said that transaction involved both a retail offer and an institutional offer of both new and existing securities, as well as a sell-down facility for existing security-holders.

The Hall & Wilcox team was headed by corporate partner John Hutchinson. “We are delighted to have advised Powerwrap’s Board and management on achieving this important milestone which provides a springboard to pursue its future growth opportunities,” he said.

The team also included partner Adrian Verdnik and lawyers Vanessa Murphy and James Fisher.

The complex deal required extensive capital raising expertise and navigation of the complex financial services regulation applying to entities of this type, Hall & Wilcox said.

Bell Potter and Baillieu acted as underwriters and joint lead managers.
