WA firm welcomes two senior lawyers

The appointments bolster the firm’s family law and criminal defence practices

WA firm welcomes two senior lawyers

Western Australia firm HHG Legal Group (HHG) has continued its expansion into the new year with two key appointments.

Claire Harrison has joined the firm’s family law practice as senior associate, while Naomi Sherrington has been added to the criminal defence team’s roster of senior lawyers.

Harrison boasts more than a decade of experience handling complex family matters, including divorce and separation, parenting arrangements, child relocation, and property settlements and disputes.

Meanwhile, Sherrington brings more than eight years of advocacy experience, particularly in complex criminal and traffic law, and quasi-criminal jurisdictions. She has conducted numerous trials, sentencing and direction hearings, and bail applications.

The appointments follow HHG’s acquisition of Bunbury boutique Kroon Legal late last year as part of its expansion efforts in the South West region. The office formally opened on 1 January.

Simon Creek, executive chairman at HHG, said the key appointments, along with the Bunbury expansion, “further strengthen the firm’s ability to provide quality advice and representation across WA.”

“Claire and Naomi both have an unwavering commitment to achieve the best possible outcome for their clients and will add further depth of expertise to the team,” he said. “The Bunbury office will allow us to service the thriving agribusiness and tourism industries of the South West region, as well as the individuals, families, and local governments.”

Kroon Legal’s team, including the firm’s founder and highly regarded accredited family lawyer Rod Kroon, will continue to work with the HHG under HHG Bunbury.
