Two make partner in Holman Webb’s latest promotion round

Holman Webb has announced that Alicia Mataere and Lucy Rooney have been promoted to partner as part of the firm’s latest round of internal promotions.

Mataere joined Holman Webb as an associate in 2013, having previously worked as in-house counsel.  She is a regular panellist and presenter at workplace relations conferences around Australia and has recently launched the firm’s “Legal Lockdown” video series with a look at the Australian Government’s JobKeeper Scheme.

The two new partners are part of Holman Webb’s latest batch of promotions – 70% of whom are female and include Sasha Khamas (senior associate, insurance), Paul Rutherford (senior associate, insurance), Stephanie Carter (associate, insurance), Grace Gunn (associate, workplace relations), Linda Huynh (associate, insurance), Sgandeep Singh (associate, insurance), and Charbel Trad (associate, insurance)

“These promotions reflect the commitment and contribution which each person has made and continues to make to the firm, our values and our clients,” said Greg Malakou, chief executive officer of Holman Webb. “I would like to thank the members of this outstanding group, of which I am very pleased to note 70% are women practitioners and of course congratulate each individually on reaching a significant career milestone.”
