The commercial and insurance law specialists acquire a Sydney boutique firm

Holman Webb has acquired Bruce and Stewart, a boutique law firm located in the Sydney CBD.
With the acquisition, the national firm strengthens its property and construction practices, with Bruce and Stewart partner Robert Gorczyca and his team bringing more than three decades of expertise in property, construction, land subdivision, joint ventures, corporate advisory, airport regulation, and airport development to the firm.
Bruce and Stewart’s team, led by Gorczyca, recently advised in the development of the Barangaroo precinct and numerous airports in New South Wales and Victoria.
“This appointment is an important addition to our current capabilities, and reinforces the importance of these areas of practice to our firm,” said John Wakefield, Holman Webb chairman.
The acquisition is in line with the firms with Holman Webb’s strategic development plan, he said.
The news comes after Homan Webb’s recent establishment of an Adelaide office. The firm also recently added partners Mark Sheller, an insurance and financial lines expert, and Heath Gleig-Scott, a property specialist.
