Having once led her own wills and estate practice, she shares what attracted her to the firm
Wills and estates expert Tammy Sava has joined Macpherson Kelley’s wills and estates team in Adelaide as a principal.
She has worked with high‑net‑worth individuals, families, trustees and business owners. She has tackled matters involving complex testamentary trusts, asset protection strategies, blended family estate planning, superannuation and SMSF succession, contested estate matters, and the administration of complex and high‑value estates.
Sava has been admitted to the South Australia Supreme Court and the High Court. She is part of the Law Society of South Australia and the Women Lawyers’ Association of South Australia.
National managing principal Grant Guenther highlighted Sava’s technical excellence and commitment to client care as significant assets for Macpherson Kelley as it grows its South Australia presence.
“Her appointment also reflects the depth of female leadership within our private client practice”, Guenther said.
Sava told Australasian Lawyer that she was drawn to Macpherson Kelley’s collaborative culture and national platform.
“There is a strong sense that the firm treats private client work as a core capability rather than an add on, which creates opportunities to deliver thoughtful, well-rounded advice”, she said.
Sava highlighted mentoring as a priority for her.
“Having previously led my own wills and estates practice, I place a strong emphasis on mentoring and creating clear processes that allow lawyers to deliver consistent, high-quality advice. I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to my role at Macpherson Kelley”, she told Australasian Lawyer.
Macpherson Kelley recently announced that it was expanding its Pacific Legal Network practice group to Papua New Guinea through the rebranding of PNG firm Lane Lawyers as PNG Pacific Legal Network. The team will work from Port Moresby and will be headed up by partners Eunice Noki and Tony Noki.
